Andrea Berta assumes the Sports Management
Until now he was the technical director.
Andrea Berta (Brescia, 1972) is the new sports director of the club. The Italian will now become the maximum responsible for Atlético de Madrid’s area of professional football.
Berta joined Atlético de Madrid in 2013, coming from Genoa, a team in the Italian A Series. He started by working at the international scouting area to later work at the club’s technical management. Andrea Berta now takes over the sports management to replace José Luis Pérez Caminero, who assumes the coordination of the first team.
Andrea Berta will supervise five workgroups: the first team’s coaching staff, assistants of the coaching staff, the first team’s area of coordination, Atlético de Madrid B and the scouting and analysis team.
