112 years of red and white pride
We are celebrating. Today our Club reaches 112 years of history with a past packed with glorious moments, a growing present supported by great deeds and a future full of exciting projects.
26th of April, 1903. On that day, the first sentence of our Club’s history was written. Some young Basque students living in Madrid found the Athletic Club of Madrid. Today we celebrate the 112th birthday of our Club’s, our beloved Atlético de Madrid.
The golden red and white book saves thousands of unforgettable memories, deeds, titles, and moments that have forged a strong and united Club. During the last years, the Museum’s showcases increased their collection. Ten Leagues, 10 King’s Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 2 UEFA Europa League titles, 2 Spanish Super Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 1 UEFA Cup Winners Cup and 1 RFEF President Cup are Atlético’s conquests in these 112 years of history.
The past is packed with successes; the future, with excitement in projects that have become pillars of structural growth. The new stadium, the Academy, the international expansion and the strength of a social mass which increases daily, outline a beautiful future. Let’s celebrate this birthday as it deserves.
