We present our first kit for the 2024/25 season!
Our new kit pays homage to our memorable 1995/96 season when we completed a famous Double by winning both the league title and the Copa del Rey.
In a season which will see the return of our 1947 crest, a symbol of pride and belonging for everyone at Atlético de Madrid, our new kit pays tribute to a legendary moment in our history when we wore this badge on our chest: our 1995/96 Double-winning campaign.
Combining tradition and modernity, our new shirt includes a blue collar and elegant red and blue parallel lines running vertically down the shirt, interspersed between the thick red and white stripes. These lines bring to mind the sensational Double season and particularly the special shirt we wore in the Copa del Rey final against FC Barcelona.
This clash with the Blaugrana took place on 10 April 1996 at La Romareda, Zaragoza, where we were crowned cup winners thanks to a memorable extra-time header from Milinko Pantic. The second part of the Double arrived a month and a half later after a 2-0 win over Albacete at the Vicente Calderón on the final matchday of the LaLiga season. Our current head coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, and Francisco Narváez, known as ‘Kiko’, were the goalscorers that day.
