We participated in the 3rd Annual Report of GSBS
Our club continues its growth in the area of sustainability and was present at this event that hosted the 55 most relevant sports companies in the world.
On Tuesday 16 January, the UK capital hosted the launch of the third annual report of the Global Sustainability Benchmark in Sports (GSBS), an independent sports sustainability rating organisation, in partnership with global law firm Squire Patton Boggs.
The GSBS 2023 report provides a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the sustainability performance of 55 of the world's leading professional sports companies in the corporate, environmental, social and governance areas. It also establishes individual ratings based on the GSBS methodology. In this third edition, we have obtained the fifth position in the GSBS ranking, improving our score compared to previous years and showing the growth of our company in this area.
The presentation was followed by a panel of experts in sustainability in the sports field in which Rocío Torres, Head of Sustainability and Responsible Business of Atlético de Madrid, represented our club. In this colloquium, the sustainability strategy that the club is carrying out was presented, with special emphasis on our 'We Love Football' initiative, with which Atlético de Madrid advocates the creation of a football that defends diversity, inclusion, respect and tolerance, thus inspiring society through awareness and education, with special attention to young people.
From Club Atlético de Madrid we would like to thank both GSBS and Squire Patton Boggs for the opportunity to make known, a little more, the work and performance of our entity in the sustainability section.
