We host Betis in our final home game of the season
At 19:00 CEST on Sunday 18 May, our team will face the impressive UEFA Conference League finalists in a thrilling clash between the third and sixth-placed sides in LaLiga.
With the goal of mathematically securing our place in the LaLiga 2024/25 top three, we will take on Real Betis this Sunday at 19:00 CEST in what will be our final home fixture of the season at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
This match, part of the penultimate matchday of the campaign, will see us look to defend our third place in the table against a Betis side still chasing their dream of qualifying for next season's Champions League. We go into the encounter with 70 points, while Manuel Pellegrini’s side sit sixth with 59, needing to win both their remaining games and hoping Villarreal, who are currently five points ahead and boast a better overall goal difference – with the head-to-head between Betis and Villarreal tied – slip up.
Betis haven’t managed a win at the Metropolitano since 2011, suffering ten defeats and earning just one draw since then. Meanwhile, we have only lost once at home this season and boast the second-best defence in the league. This solid defensive record gives Jan Oblak the chance to end the season by claiming his sixth Zamora Trophy – he is currently first in the clean sheet standings – which would see him become the goalkeeper with the most Zamora titles in LaLiga history.
