The top scoring Griezmann
Atlético’s striker is becoming the reference of the French national team in the Euro2016. He has already scored six goals with "Les bleus" which makes him the top-goal scorer of the Euro.
Antoine Griezmann is being one of the stars of the current European Championship with the French national team. The bleu forward has scored 6 goals in the six matches played, in a total of 435 minutes. Our player was critical in the match against Albania, a match in which he came off the bench in the second half and scored the 1-0 in the last minute. His participation was also key on Sunday 26th June, in the last 16, when the French '7' scored the two goals that meant France’s comeback against Ireland (2-1) and the pass to the quarter-finals. Against Iceland, he scored the fourth French goal and assisted in the second and third in France’s thrashing (5-2). And, in the semi-final, he definitely won the hearts of his countrymen with another double to beat Germany on their way to the final of Paris. Griezmann holds the first place in the list of top scorers in the Euro.
To these numbers we have to add what he has achieved this season with our club. The Frenchman has scored 32 goals and given 7 assists in 54 games with the red and white jersey in the best season of his career. As a whole, between the national team and our club, Griezmann totals 37 goals so far this season. Previously, his best record was in the 2014/2015, when he finished the year with 25 goals.
