GABI IS DEIGHTED WITH THE SUPPORT THAT THE SIDE RECEIVES IN THE CALDERON:

"The team feels very comfortable playing in front of our fans"

The Atletico captain is confident that they’ll have a good game against Valencia and get closer to achieving the Champions League goal.

The captain Gabi Fernandez went through the press room of the Majadahonda Sports City and looked towards the final sprint of the season, aiming to achieve the goal of finishing in the top 4 to earn right to play in next season's Champions League: "The last ten games of the season are coming up and we’ll be looking to seal our place next seasons Chapions League. Valencia come here on the up, fighting for the fourth place which would allow it to be in the Champions League and I'm sure Sunday will be a very difficult game. We are doing very well, we are working very well and hopefully we’ll get the three points on Sunday that will take us a little closer to our goal."

The Atletico player says the team is lifted when they play at the Calderon: "The team is very compact and secure. We’re also doing well away from home. We broke the streak against Real Sociedad at home after a long time without losing, but the team feels very comfortable playing before in front of our fans, is an extra plus for us and Sunday against a great rival will sure be a great game".

Finally, the captain spoke about Spain’s game on Tuesday in Paris. "No match is easy, but we trust this team to have made history. We are all with them and hopefully, they´ll get a good result tomorrow," he concluded.
