DEMANDING WORK PLAN FOR TWELVE DAYS

The pre season starts in Los Angeles de San Rafael

On Monday afternoon, the team travels to the province of Segovia where Diego Pablo Simeone and his staff have planned twelve days of intense work to get the red and white squad it to top shape.

The preseason designed by the coaching staff of Atletico Madrid is demanding on the physical section. During the first few weeks this conditioning prepares the players for a long season starting in the middle of August, closing in May. League, Cup, Super Cup and Champions League are competitions and challenges facing Diego Pablo Simeone’s squad during the course of 2013-14.

On Monday afternoon, at the completion of training in the Majadahonda Sports, Atletico Madrid will travel by bus to Los Angeles de San Rafael, in the province of Segovia, where the usual summer concentration will take place. This phase will last until Sunday July 21st, the date of which is the first game will be played in El Burgo de Osma (Soria), against Numancia.

On Tuesday, July 9th the players will have two working sessions, morning and afternoon, and on Wednesday will face the first day of three workouts. A day later, on Thursday 11th, the work slows down. Planning this 'stage' in Los Angeles de San Rafael emphasizes three days of triple the work session: Friday 12th, Saturday 16th and Saturday 20th. The other dates are planned double sessions, with the exception of Monday 15 July with absolute rest for the entire workforce.

On Sunday 21st preparation will be finalized in this leg in Los Angeles de San Rafael and staff will travel to the town of Soria El Burgo de Osma (Soria), where, at 19.00, they will face Numancia in the first pre-season test.
