Atletico renews ties with Azerbaijan . The company has expanded its agreement on Saturday March 1st for strategic partnership with the 'Tierra del Fuego ' as an official sponsor of the team since the 2012/13 season.
To the formal extension of the sponsorship attended the club's board , headed by the president , Enrique Cerezo , accompanied by members of the first team. Also present at the signing where personalities linked to the Caucasian country as the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, D. Efendiev Altai , and the executive director of the Baku FC , Yashar Seyidov
Enrique Cerezo opened the event by thanking all present and highligting the importance of renewal for the Atletic´s international expansion plan. Atletico president remembered the beginnings of an agreement between the entity and Azerbaijan , " who had the strategic vision to link to our club as a global communication platform with the support of the institutions, and inaugurating a pioneering sponsorship in which instead of announce a classic trademark, a country brand is promoted ".

The director described both "as two traveling companions who embark on a common path that allows them to develop multiple joint actions. In just one year, we have been able to project the image of Azerbaijan for the world and promote bilateral relations between our countries. Process that led to the creation of the Chamber of Commerce in Spain and the organization of the first business meeting to be held next April in Baku. Thanks to the impulse received by Arturo Fernandez , president of CISM , which is also with us today , he supported this program from the beginning".
Meanwhile, Yashar Seyidov said "my most sincerely appreciation to Atletico for his collaboration with Azerbaijan . As a result of this agreement many young players come to Spain to grow . I wish you much success".
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Spain reflected his joy at the renewal of the agreement in his words. Collaboration , that in his words, "has been a success . I am very happy and grateful to Atlético involvement with Azerbaijan . A young, emerging country with many natural resources and rich cultural offer".
During the celebration of the event in the VIP Room of Estadio Vicente Calderon a video in which the bonds between Club Atlético de Madrid and Azerbaijan are reflected was projected .
