Simeone shared his thoughts on Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup final.
“We’re proud to have competed. We played the two best teams in the world in three days and competed very well. It makes us want to keep improving. We had several chances to score, particularly towards the end of the game. We played better tonight than against Barcelona,” our coach said.
Oblak was also pleased with the performance despite the result.
“We completed a very good game that we could have won during the 90 minutes. We controlled the match, but lost on penalties. We need to keep our head up and be positive,” the Slovenian said.
Felipe said he was proud of our team.
“We have to be proud of ourselves, because we did a great job. We played two very good games, and this is the right direction to keep growing,” our defender said.
Vitolo also spoke after the game.
“It’s a tough blow for us, but we need to dust ourselves off like we’ve done other times. We have another game in the weekend. We gave it our all against two great sides,” the Spaniard said.
