THE TEAM HAS GOT TO THIS POSITION THROUGH HUMILITY AND WORK

Simeone: "We will play thinking it will be difficult, but in life nothing is impossible"

Atletico coach appeared before the media in the pre-game and said the team should forget the excuses and focus on improving.

Simeone began the press conference by referring to the semifinal we will face Real Madrid in the Vicente Calderon Stadium. "I imagine there will be many people, it's a nice game. We'll play thinking it will be difficult but in life nothing is impossible. We still believe in a tie, we must learn to play it and carry on the way we want." As for the possible starting lineup, the Argentine said he will pick a team "that will allow us to compete as we have done in all competitions."

On the offense last weekend in Almeria and the refereeing controversy, the technician is clear: "We have to focus on improving ourselves. So far we have reached a very nice position with work and humility. It's football, it's game, we are all great, we know what this game is about and focus on ourselves", he said.

The Atletico coach acknowledged that since his arrival at the club "I always said that Atletico Madrid is uncomfortable for all teams and we are still. The team is competitive, because at this stage of the season we are fighting. We are still uncomfortable, the team fights, plays, works and we do not have to make excuses. I invite my players, the club, the fans, to not looking for excuses to go ahead, work together...if not 100 %, give 110%, or 120%".

Finally, and to reaffirm their thinking, Simeone said the goal is "to work and improve, that's the only way to keep us where we are. The only thing is the ball wins games and we have to improve on that. Everything else wears you down," he said.
