CONGRATULATED RIVAL AND SHOWED CONCERNED FOR INJURY TO TIAGO

Simeone: "We will continue working on the same line"

Atletico coach praised the work of Almería for the win at the Stadium of the Mediterranean Games and said he will not seek excuses in defeat.

Simeone appeared before the media after finishing the league match and said he saw a match in which"the opponent tried to play their game. In the first half we could have done better, we created some chances, but football has these things, sometimes you win, some are tied and you lose some. We do not seek excuses, we will not blame the referee, or the wind, or the ball...the opponent did a great job and congratulations on that. The only way we know to follow this line is working, and we will."

The Argentine denied mental and physical fatigue in the squad after the backlog of matches in recent weeks. "I do not think that it is related, at all times the team came out to take the game in the way they could". On controversial moments like the penalty of Aranzubia he stressed that "I did not see it on TV," and concluded by recalling that "what worries me today is Tiago."
