Simeone: "We start another tournament with enthusiasm, excitement, humility"

This Friday, Diego Pablo Simeone appeared before the media in the press room of the Wanda Training Complex. The Argentinian manager spoke about the tragic events that happened this Thursday in Barcelona: "The most important thing is what happened yesterday. Unfortunately, it was a very difficult day for everyone. Solidarity, sadness and all of us that want peace have to push forward."
Regarding the League debut, he said: "We are about to begin a new tournament with what beginning a new tournament represents: with enthusiasm, excitement, humility, keen to do things well.”
Simeone also noted: "Surely the club has made an enormous effort to be able to keep important players. The fact that football players who can make a difference have stayed, speaks volumes of the good work that the club is doing.”
"Reality is tomorrow when we kick-off. We have to have the same humility as Girona, the same enthusiasm as Girona, the same passion as Girona, and from there, we will see what happens on the pitch," he stressed.
