Simeone: "We have played a great match"
Atlético’s coach answered the media. The Argentinian was happy for the team qualifying for the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Diego Pablo Simeone appeared in the Newsroom of the Vicente Calderón. Atlético’s coach analysed the match against Galatasaray: "We have played a great match following the growing path of the team. I think that in the first half we did not generate the chances to score that the possession of ball required. In the second half we played better and had more chances to score.”
With respect to qualifying for the round of 16, the coach said that "we’ve been working hard these four years and a half. We have always had the possibility to qualify one or two matches before the end of the stage. That speaks very well of the players. I'm happy for the club, because it is a step forward that makes us happy for the players and the fans."
