Simeone: "We go through to the final very happy"
Atlético’s coach answered the media at the end of the match played at the Allianz Arena, which has finished with our team advancing to the final of the Champions League.
Diego Pablo Simeone appeared in press conference after booking a spot in the final in Milan. The Argentinian coach analysed the second leg match: "In the first half, we saw a formidable team. They had pressure, game, possession, aerial game and intensity. A fantastic first half from Bayern. We had little response to the situations they proposed. The second half was more even. We went out very well in the counter that resulted in the goal and that allowed us to have an advantage."
Regarding the errors on the penalties by Müller and Fernando Torres, he said: "Both were key. A missed penalty always implies several things. Their penalty would have put them 2-0 and made things very difficult for us. And later, with eight minutes to go until the end, it would have turned things around. The boys had a huge mettle at the end of the match. We go through to the final very happy."
