Simeone: "We earned a point that'll help us keep on moving up in the table"
Our coach spoke to the press about our draw in the first derby of the season.
Diego Pablo Simeone spoke to the press after the hard-earned draw against Leganés. "We weren't as convincing as we should have been in the first 15 or 20 minutes. We had opportunities to score, but didn't. After that, it was normal that our players were tired, since we played on Wednesday night," he said. "We attacked without clarity and they had some good chances on the counter, but Jan [Oblak] was secure in the back."
The Argentine also spoke about the Antoine Griezmann subsitution. "Seeing how the game was going, we had already done a lot. We wanted to create more opportunities, but there was a chance of losing. Getting a point is ok. It's better than losing, even though we always want to win. However, we earned a point that'll help us keep on moving up in the table."
