Simeone: "The players showed a tremendous nobleness"

After the end of the match against Real Madrid, Diego Pablo Simeone, Atlético’s coach, addressed the media, for whom he analysed the duel of the Champions League semi-finals.
"The team had arguments to understand why we have been competing so many years as we have been competing," said the Argentinian manager, who labelled as "extraordinary" the game played by his players before noting that they showed "a tremendous nobleness."
"I am proud of them, proud of how they played, with hierarchy, such a complicated semi-final, showing that we were not talking for the sake of it and that we thought we could. We were close to winning the qualifier," Simeone ended.
