Atletico Madrid and Diego Pablo Simeone have agreed to renew the coach’s contract for the next four seasons. The coach, who was a rojiblanco player during two spells (1994-97 and 2003-05) and formed part of an historic double winning side in 96, returned to the club in Madrid in late December 2011 to take over the first team bench. Simeone won two European titles in his first months as Atletico coach, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup and this season has managed to qualify the team to the final of the Copa del Rey.
