Simeone: “Proud of my players and of the fans”
Simeone highlighted at the microphones of Canal Plus that he’is proud of a team and the fans who gave their all in Lisbon.
Diego Pablo Simeone expressed the pride he feels for team of players that gave their all in the field and he has no reproach of them. "This fixture doesn’t deserve one tear, when you give your life, there’s nothing to say", he said. He also had some words for his fans. "Proud of the players and the fans," he pointed out.

The Argentinian believes that his team stood up to the occasion because "They were competitive", and was satisfied because "They responded well". He also wanted to praise the historic year that Atlético has lived. "Great season of Atlético de Madrid, competing against great teams" he said.
However, Atlético’s coach is already looking at the future. "Now we rest, we have summer to restart and work in the same way", he concluded.
