Simeone: "It’s a fair victory"
Atlético’s coach praised the work of all his players and was very happy with the new triumph at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Diego Pablo Simeone appeared in the press room of the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of the match. The Argentinian coach analysed Atlético’s win: "I think we have a well defined identity. The truth is that in recent matches we were missing the goal, but the team always had an intention similar to today's. Today, the team scored and had the chances to score a few more. It was a hard-fought game. We always try to have a very high pressure. The pressure of Griezmann and Torres was spectacular. The second half was more regular. It’s a fair victory."
Our coach assessed the work of the whole team: "The line of four was brilliant. Filipe Luis was amazing. Juanfran closed his wing very well. Augusto and Gabi were two tremendous lungs in the midfield. Big heart from Saul and lots of calmness from Koke. Great character in Griezmann and great enthusiasm and passion from Fernando to run for impossible balls. That led us to have a chance, solve it in the best way and achieve the win."
