Simeone: "It excites me seeing the team in the final"
To end the first-ever Media Day at the Wanda Metropolitano, our boss took the stage and spoke to the press.
The last one to take the stage at the auditorium in the Wanda Metropolitano was our boss Diego Pablo Simeone.
"It's going to be a disputed final," Simeone said. "We're going to play against a team that plays well and has a good coach."
Simeone is proud that his team will play another European final.
"Up until now, we've been competing well," he said. "It excites me seeing the team in the final."
Like the rest of our players, Simeone knows the match against Olympique de Marseille will be a tough one.
"I think [Rudi García] has had success with all the teams he's coached. He makes his teams play the way he wants to," he said. "It'll be a very good final and the football on the pitch will be similar because we're both direct teams and compact in the back."
When asked about the importance of this final, our boss didn't bite his tongue.
"All finals are important and I'm very happy and excited that I get to coach these players."
