"Antoine is in extraordinary shape. He had a spectacular season last year. But the whole team played very well tonight," Simeone said.
Rodrigo also spoke after the game, and claimed that the team was improving. "We're growing and improving every day. We're more solid and we're seeing an improved version every day," our midfielder said.
Montero, who made his Champions League debut on the night, said that the win had been possible thanks to the fans.
"It was a dream debut in the Champions League. We played very well and won at our stadium, so you can't ask for more. The win was thanks to our fans, without them it wouldn't have been possible," the Spaniard said.
Thomas Partey praised the team's performance.
"I'd give the team a ten out of ten in this match, because we played very well from beginning to end," Thomas said.
Finally, Griezmann said the he and the team were very happy with tonight's match.
"I'm very happy. The team made an incredible effort. We're very happy to have earned the three points, and now we have to continue like this," the Frenchman said.
