Simeone: "I believe in the work we do and in my players"
Our coach spoke to the press before our match against Deportivo la Coruña.
Diego Pablo Simeone spoke to the press, before facing Deportivo de la Coruña in Riazor.
“Deportivo have good players. They have players who are good offensively, who have a good first touch, and are dangerous in aerial play because they’re tall,” he said. “We’re going to play in a way which will make the match go in the direction we want it to go.”
Simeone trusts his players and is confident the team will return to good form soon.
“I believe in the work we do, I believe in my footballers and I’m convinced that there is no better way to improve than with hard work and a positive outlook,” he said. “There are pessimists, but I try to stay away from pessimism.”
Lastly, he spoke about the importance of teamwork.
“If this team has a virtue in the past few years, it’s that we’re a team. Individualities have shown themselves to be something different from our teamwork. We’re not going to change the way we see things. We’re going to continue working the same way we’ve been doing so and also look for alternatives that will give us what we’re looking for: players who work for the team.”
