Seven Atléticos are called by their national teams
Up to seven red and white players have been called by their national teams for the matches that will be played next September.
The international matches that will be played in September will count with seven players of our team. For the first time, Ángel Correa will answer a call for Argentina’s senior national team for the two friendlies which will be played by Gerardo Martino’s team in the United States against Bolivia and Mexico.
In addition to the Argentinian player, six other red and whites will play with their respective national teams. The Uruguayans, Godín and Giménez, will measure up against Costa Rica and Panama; Filipe will do so with Brazil against Costa Rica and the United States; the Slovenian Oblak will play against Switzerland and Lithuania; the Belgian Carrasco will face Bosnia-Herzegovina and Cyprus; and the Frenchman Griezmann will measure up against Portugal and Serbia.
