Ovation for Atlético de Kolkata in the Calderón
The Atleti franchise was given the opportunity of receiving the Vicente Calderon's affection in person.
Atlético de Kolkata, the red and white franchise that will play the Indian Super League this upcoming season received a warm welcome on the turf of the Vicente Calderón Stadium. The team, which is having their pre-season in Los Ángeles de San Rafael could jump on the field and receive an ovation from the stands and afterwards, watch the Atletico de Madrid- Celta match from the box seats.
Enrique Cerezo, President of the Club, welcomed Atlético de Kolkata's delegation at the Vicente Calderón. Thereafter, the staff of the Super League Indian team went down to the field to greet the fans from the midfield. Subrata Talukdar, Director of the Indian team and Adelardo Rodriguez, President of the Atlético de Madrid Foundation and club legend, exchanged shirts with the number 14, in reference to the Indian team's year of birth, 2014.
Antonio López Habas' men will be finishing their preparation in the next days before returning to Calcutta to compete in the Indian Super League.
