THE LARGEST FIGURE IN OUR HISTORY

More than 2.6 million spectators at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano in 2025

The stadium closes an unforgettable year, defined by the passion of Atlético supporters, a historic attendance record for the Spanish women's national team, and a world-class cultural and leisure offering.

The Riyadh Air Metropolitano reached a new milestone in its history. On the final day of the year, we look back to confirm that more than 2.6 million people visited our stadium in 2025.

As always, the the heart and soul of our stadium is our fanbase. Throughout 2025, our fans have supported us in 26 matches, with average attendance approaching 90% of capacity. The highest attendance of the year came on 12 March, when we hosted Real Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. A total of 69,304 spectators cheered on our team in an epic contest that was decided by a penalty shootout.

Over the course of the year, fans celebrated 21 first-team victories (16 in LaLiga and five in the Champions League), and 63 goals scored. The unity between the stands and our players proved decisive in turning the Riyadh Air Metropolitano into a true fortress.

Official matches were not the only moments shared between the team and the Rojiblanco faithful. The season also featured special occasions such as Welcome Night, which marked the vibrant launch of the 2025/26 campaign, and the open training session held in October. Both events were free of charge for club members.

The Riyadh Air Metropolitano also set a historic record by hosting the second leg of the UEFA Women's Nations League final between Spain and Germany on 2 December. A total of 55,843 spectators witnessed Spain's 3-0 victory, in which Atlético player Fiamma Benítez played her part. This surpasses the previous record of 32,657 fans at the 2024 UEFA Nations League final at La Cartuja played between Spain and France. A historic milestone in women's football.

The Riyadh Air Metropolitano, a versatile venue for leisure and culture

Beyond football, the Riyadh Air Metropolitano has become Madrid's go-to musical venue. In 2025, thirteen major artists, including AC/DC, Aitana, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons and Iron Maiden, brought spectacular audiovisual productions to the stadium and thrilled thousands of attendees with their music.

In addition to concerts, the Riyadh Air Metropolitano hosted nearly 300 events this year, thanks to the versatility and convenience of its facilities, as well as its commitment to cutting edge technology, showcased since the start of the season by the Sky Ribbon. The spectacular 360-degree screen measuring 404 metres in circumference and nearly five metres in height is integrated into the inner ring of the stadium roof. The most recent of these events is Madrid On Ice, a unique Christmas experience featuring one of the largest ice rinks in Europe, which will transform the stadium into one of Madrid's must-visit festive attractions until 11 January.
