Lumen Field in Seattle will be our second venue for the FIFA Club World Cup
The stadium, which was opened in 2002, can hold 69,000 spectators and will be the venue for our duel against the 2022 Concacaf Champions League winners.
Lumen Field in Seattle (Washington) will host the second match of our FIFA Club World Cup 2025 campaign, where will naturally face the local team, on Friday 20 June at 0:00 CEST.
With a capacity of 69,000 for football matches, the stadium hosts various events during the year and is also the home of the NFL team, Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Reign FC, from the National Women’s Soccer League. Opened in 2002, it is publicly owned and the construction of it cost 430 million dollars. 130 million dollars of this amount came from a private investment by Paul G. Allen, then owner of the Seahawks.
In addition to the six matches in the Group Stage of the FIFA Club World Cup, the stadium will also host six matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including an elimination game in the Round of 32 and 16. Additionally, in the past it hosted different matches in the Concacaf Gold Cup in 2009 and 2013, as well as the Centenary Copa América in 2016.
