Lucas Hernández renews until 2020
The young defender from Marseille played 16 games in his first season as a member of the first team.
Lucas Hernández has extended his contract with our club for one season, so that his contractual relationship now extends until 30th June, 2020. The young French defender was happy with the agreement reached: "I’m very happy to stay in the club of my life," he commented.
The 20-year-old defender from Marseille was a part of the first team last season, in which he played 16 games, some as prominent as the two quarter-finals matches of the Champions League against FC Barcelona. He also played five matches of the UEFA Youth League, scoring a goal.
His trajectory in our Academy has been spectacular. He arrived in the 2007-08 campaign playing for the Juveniles A and since then has been climbing categories to reach the reserve team at 18 in the 2014-15 season where, after a year, he made the leap to the first team.
His trajectory in the French national team has been equally brilliant, playing in the U21 team today.
