LG OLED, our new image and sound technology supplier
We presented our agreement with one of the leading brands in audio-visual technology and with more than half a century of experience.
Atlético de Madrid and LG OLED have presented their new collaboration agreement by which the Korean brand will be the official image and sound technology supplier for the next three seasons, until 2020. This agreement continues the line of collaboration started by both companies for the supply of the Wanda Metropolitano’s technology, which will count on LG’s most advanced solutions so far. It is precisely LG's technological innovation in screens, with more than half a century of experience and leadership in manufacturing and commercialization, that produces the most advanced television technology in the market -LG OLED-, which has driven and decided the agreement between both companies.
Enrique Cerezo, our chairman, headed our club’s representation, while Jaime de Jaraíz, CEO of LG Electronics, represented the Korean brand. In addition, Koke and Fernando Torres, players of Atlético’s first team were also there.
Jaime de Jaraíz, CEO of LG Electronics, also highlighted the importance of this collaboration between our club and one of the leading brands in audio-visual technology: "To speak about LG and Atlético de Madrid is to speak of shared values: the effort and will to succeed, the need to constantly improve and, above all, the passion for innovation." Enrique Cerezo noted the importance of this agreement: "Two weeks ago, we announced a great agreement reached with LG Electronics by which the Wanda Metropolitano will have the most advanced solutions in image and sound. Our future home will be a world reference stadium in innovation thanks what LG will display in all corners of the stadium." In addition, the chairman wanted to stress the importance of this agreement in relation to the Wanda Metrpolitano: "In September, we will inaugurate the Wanda Metropolitano and our members, fans and supporters will be able see and enjoy all the advances that we have set in motion in a project that bears the stamp of a leading company in innovation such as LG."
During the event, the attendees watched a touching video of the tribute that all the red and white family dedicated to the Calderón after the last match played at our stadium. It was shown on an LG OLED Wallpaper, a television as thin as a credit card that Fernando Torres and Koke held in their hands due to how light it was.
