Atlético de Madrid and Olympiacos Piraeus have reached an agreement for a one-season loan with a buying option of defender Konstantinos Rougalas (Patras, Greece, 13/10/1993) to our Club once he passes the relevant medical examination.

Kostas Rougalas, as he’s known in Greek football, occupies the position of centre defender. He’s a hefty fullback who, with his one hundred and eighty-seven centimetres in height, becomes a bastion of air game. The new red and white player was "very happy" after linking his future to Atlético: "It’s a great achievement in my career and I am looking forward to starting with my new team".

Rougalas defines himself as "a player who gives everything in each game", feeling "very motivated to play for this Club and its millions of fans". The young Greek central claimed to be a connoisseur of our Club: "It has grown considerably in recent years and it’s been one of the most important teams in Europe in recent seasons. Atlético has grown non-stop".

Lastly, Kostas Rougalas was eager to start this new stage with Atletico’s second team: "I want to make a good season so the team is in the best possible position and I'm looking forward to meeting my new teammates".
