Koke Resurrección, 600 games in Red & White
Our captain, who already surpassed Adelardo last season as the player with the most appearances in Atleti's history, expanded his legend in the match against Mallorca.
Jorge Resurrección Merodio 'Koke' expanded his legend as a Red & White player. In the match played this Saturday against Mallorca at the Cívitas Metropolitano, our captain reaffirms his status as a legend, reaching 600 games played as an Atlético player.
The man from Vallecas made his debut with the first team on September 19, 2009 against FC Barcelona. Since then, he has gone through stages to become an absolute legend of our club. Today, at 31 years old, fourteen after wearing the Atlético de Madrid jersey for the first time with the first team, he has reached the historic figure of 600 official games for our club. Gone are the 553 matches with which he equaled another legend like Adelardo Rodríguez.
His history is not only limited to a number that very few footballers reach, and even more so in the same club, he is also one of the most successful Atleti players. He has won up to eight titles in the fourteen years that, to date, he has defended our jersey: two Leagues, one Copa del Rey, two Europa Leagues, two European Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup. Eight titles make him the second player with the most titles in the club's history, only surpassed by Adelardo who has ten trophies as a Red & White player.
