AT ONLY 25

Koke equals Gárate's 325 matches played as an Atlético

Our midfielder ties with the forward from Éibar as the twenty-first football player who has defended Atlético de Madrid‘s badge more times.

Against Girona, it was Gabi who matched the number of fixtures played by Luis Aragonés wearing the red and white shirt, and this time, it is Koke Resurrección who has reached the record of 325 games played with our club by a different myth in the history of Atlético de Madrid: José Eulogio Gárate.

The midfielder from Madrid, trained in Atlético’s Academy, made his debut with the first team on the 19th of September, 2009, and at only 25, has tied the record of the forward from Éibar as the twenty-first player who has defended our colours more times.

Throughout this period, Koke has won a UEFA Europa League (2012), a UEFA Super Cup (2012), a King’s Cup (2013), a League National Championship (2014) and a Spanish Super Cup (2014), scoring 28 goals between all the competitions.
