José María Giménez played his 100th match for Atlético de Madrid
The Uruguayan defender defended Atlético’s jersey for the 100th time in the defeat to Chelsea, in the second group stage fixture of the UEFA Champions League.
Giménez signed for our club in 2013 and made his debut on 14 September 2013 against Almería. Since then, he’s defended the ‘rojiblanca’ another 99 times.
In his 100 games, he’s scored five goals, a more than respectable amount for a central defender.
