The Atlético coach noted, “Tomorrow we have a hard match against a team that works defensively very well. The play highly competitive matches. It was hard for us in the first leg. That’s why we expect a match in the same lines, where we’ll have to play a very intense game. Levante will be a competitive team for sure, a team we highly respect and which will demand a lot”.

He continued mentioning, “It’s important and logical that after a whole season following a course of action, we keep it up today. We haven’t won anything yet. We’re facing an important situation towards the future to play a final; I’d say it’s vital. But reality brings us back to what we always cared about, which is the League. For us, the Leage is our day-to-day and we’ll therefore, keep on this match-by-match we’ve devised. We know how important this fixture is against a rival that doesn’t yield many goals, especially at home. If I’m not mistaken, they’ve yielded 15 goals at home, which is a good number defensively speaking. I greatly admire their coach for how he competes, how he fights; and where he’s been, he’s left his mark. We’re all on the same line of being focused on tomorrow’s fixture”.

"For us, only Levante exists, Levante, Levante, Levante and again Levante"

About other clubs’ possible interest in Diego Costa, Simeone pointed out, “We’re facing a very important game where we need the attention of all of us who’ve been working for nine months. It’s important that the powerful teams want players from your team because you’re doing it right. It makes me happy when this happens because it says the team is well”.

He was informed that Levante estimates there could be 9.000 Atlético fans at the Ciudad de Valencia. Simeone said, “It would be fantastic. I hope people could interpret the League’s moment and I invite all of those who can come to support us to participate and be there. Hopefully, tomorrow there’ll be many Atlético de Madrid supporters at the stadium”.

He stressed, “The concentration is based on not stepping out of our course, in being psychologically strong, thinking about the following match and focusing how to set it out to make the most of it. It’s not easy because everything around us invites us to leave that course. There lies our strength as a group and as a team to realise there’s Levante, Levante, Levante, Levante and again Levante”.
