On Wednesday, Diego Godín underwent an MRI in Majadahonda’s Fremap Clinic that confirmed the initial examination of the medical staff and other tests performed on the Uruguayan centre-back. The medical report of our captain points out that "he suffers a grade II muscle injury in the deep surface of the biceps femoris of the posterior face of the middle third of the right thigh."
The defender felt discomfort during the second half of the second leg match of the last 16 of the Champions League against PSV Eindhoven and was forced to ask to be substituted, Lucas Hernández entering in his place.
Diego Godín will start today his recovery process to be available for Diego Pablo Simeone as soon as possible, undergoing physical therapy sessions and work in the gym. He is pending evolution.
