Atleti return to LaLiga action this Sunday at 18:30 CET. Following the international break, our team will be looking for a fifth consecutive win when they face Getafe at the Coliseum.
In the last match before the break, Simeone’s side claimed a 3-1 victory over Levante at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, thanks to an own goal and a Griezmann brace. That win followed previous victories over Real Betis (2-0), Sevilla (3-0) and Union Saint-Gilloise (3-1). As a result, the team has continued to climb the LaLiga table and now sit in fourth place with 25 points.
Getafe, meanwhile, lost 1-0 away to Mallorca before the international break. However, José Bordalás’ team are enjoying a solid season, currently sitting eighth in LaLiga with 17 points.
