Atlético de Madrid beat Crotone, newly promoted to the Italian Serie A, thanks to a goal from Gaitán, on his debut as an Atlético and another from Diogo Jota. After a first half in which there was equality on the pitch, our players showed greater depth in the second half, creating danger and leading the game to their objective. Saúl and Torres warned the Italians but it was Gaitán who scpred the 0-1 thanks to a great pass from Carrasco.

The Italians tried, but Atlético showed its stronger defensive face, leaving few cracks for the danger of the team from the South of Italy. Fernando Torres could have scored the second but his lob was deflected by the keeper Cordaz, avoiding the second goal for our team. But Diogo Jota, another of the players who was making his debut, closed the match with a goal in the extra time. Good test for our team, which continues the finishing touches for the start of the League. Next week, at the Trofeo Carranza, final test for the League.
