THE BRAZILIAN ASSURES THAT THE ARGENTINE WILL NOT LET ANYONE RELAX

Filipe Luis: "With El Cholo I doubt that the team will hit a slump"

The Brazilian says the team looks ready to close the season the same way they started and seal a place in next season Champions League.

We enter the final stretch of the season and Atletico Madrid are ready to complete their big goal: finish in the top four and seal a place in next season's Champions League. Luis Filipe spoke to the media and the Brazilian does not expect the side to drop off the pace in the ten games remaining: "Having El Cholo here I doubt that the team will hit a slump because he will not let us relaxed for a second. I think the team is in good shape, everyone knows what we’re doing and we’re all pulling in the same direction. I'm sure it will be a nice end to the season."

The Brazilian spoke of rival on Sunday at the Calderon. "Valencia is a direct rival. It will be a complicated match against a strong team and strong not only based on the player but a very competitive squad. We know it's a key game to establish ourselves in the Champions League places."

"The squad is keen to win that game, but we know that if we win it will not mean anything because nine games will remain. The victory tomorrow will mean a lot to fight for second and third place, but the important thing is to finish on the same line we have started," said Filipe Luis.

The thrust of the fans for the Brazilian international is one of the basic factors before the visit of Valencia: "The Real game was a shame, sooner or later it was going to happen. We were not going to win all our home games during the season. It was a shame to lose the three points at home. Playing at the Calderon is very complicated. Our home is our fortress. Valencia has to feel uncomfortable and the support of our fans is fundamental."

Falcao has not scored in the last few games, something not considered noteworthy to Luis Filipe "Falcao has become what he is because he is a team player and still is . It is clear that maybe in some games he does not have many chances like in Pamplona, but he sacrificed himself for the team and, ultimately, the team won and he won. It is not always possible to have twenty chances per game. When a player thinks of the collective as Falcao does, that's what makes him as great as he is."
