THE BRAZILIAN FULL BACK RETURNS TO TRAINING EARLY

Filipe and Koke back in training

Last session in Majadahonda before leaving for Los Angeles de San Rafael. Filipe Luis and Koke trained for the first time this season while Milla, Samuel Monsalve and Nacho Villa joined the work with the first team.

During Monday afternoon, Atletico again trained under the sun in Majadahonda Sports City. For an hour, Diego Pablo Simeone worked with his squad ahead of further improving the physical shape for next season and did it with good news. Filipe Luis, who announced his return, and Koke, who had enjoyed a few days off after winning the European Under-21 began their pre season work. Three new faces also trained on the Cerro del Espino pitch. Academy players Bono, Alejo Aquino and Ivan, who had been training with the group, joined in the day's work along with Samuel Villa, who debuted in the friendly in Azerbaijan, Luis Milla and Nacho Monsalve.

As usual, the work began in the gym and later moved to the turf for the players to perform a series of physical exercises led by Oscar Ortega trainer for about an hour.

After completing the training, the squad got ready for the trip to the town of Segovia in Los Angeles de San Rafael, the usual place of the training camp for the first stage of the summer, in which players will be added progressively after returning from other commitments. On the 21st of July, Atletico will play a friendly against Numancia to bring an end to the first phase of the preseason.
