Excellent start in the Indian Super League. Atlético de Kolkata were making their debut in the Indian Super League at home against Mumbai City, achieving an important victory to get off to a good start in the Championship.

The opening match held the highest expectations and the team, led from the field by Luis García, did not disappoint. 27 minutes into the game, the former Atlético player assisted F. Tefera so he could beat the goalkeeper of Mumbai with a subtle lob.

Starting there, the game became a constant local domain. S. Chowdhury ruined the few chances the visitors had and at 69 minutes, Borja took control of a lost ball near the box and placed the ball into the corner of the rival’s net thanks to a perfect volley, scoring the 2-0.

With both teams committed on the attack, Atlético de Kolkata would again be who scored the final 3-0, thanks to a shot by Arnal Llibert in the small box already in injury time. Thus ended the match and the three points stayed at home for a team that has started the Indian Super League superbly.
