ATLÉTICO  1 – 0  MÁLAGA

Atlético de Madrid:
Oblak; Juanfran, Giménez, Lucas, Filipe Luis; Gabi, Koke, Saúl; Carrasco (Correa, 57’), Griezmann (Augusto Fernández, 65’), and Fernando Torres.

Málaga: Ochoa; Rosales, Albentosa, Weligton, Miguel Torres; Recio, Camacho, Horta (Castro, 58’), Pablo (Juanpi, 64’); Duje Cop (Santa Cruz, 77’), and Charles.

Referee: Mateu Lahoz (Committee of Valencia). Sent Simeone off (45’). Booked the home players Giménez (54’), Fernando Torres (57’), and Filipe Luis (81’); and the visiting Charles (24’), Weligton (28’), and Recio (89’).

THE GOAL:
1-0.  62’. Correa
shoots from the edge of the box, Albentosa touches it and makes it impossible for Ochoa to stop it.

Matched and intense first half between two teams solid in defence and in which the control of the ball by our team did not translate into goals because, in the clearest two of this half, Ochoa saved the goal in a direct free direct from Koke and in a right-footed shot from Carrasco. Thus, with a goalless tie, we reached the half-time.

In the second half, the entrance of Correa was fundamental because the Argentinian, when he had only been five minutes on the pitch, opened the scoring with a right-footed shot from the edge of the box. Málaga saw how their plan failed and had to attack if they wanted to change the direction of the match. And they did so, but a shot from Juanpi in the final stretch scraped the post.

Three golden points against a difficult rival in the final rounds of the League. Fifth straight win of our team in the League. Now, we think about the Champions semi-final against Bayern Munich at the Vicente Calderón.
