Champions League league phase draw to take place on Thursday
The draw will take place in Monaco from 18:00 CEST onwards.
This Thursday in Monaco, starting at 18:00 CEST, the draw for the league phase of the Champions League will be held, during which we will discover our eight opponents.
The 36 participating clubs will be divided into four pots according to their coefficient, with our team placed in the second pot. We will face two teams from each of the four pots, playing one match at home and one away against the two opponents from each pot. We cannot be drawn against another Spanish club in the league phase, and we will face a maximum of two teams from the same association.
The competition follows the same format as last season. 36 teams will take part in the league phase, with each team playing eight matches against eight different opponents. Once the league phase is completed, the top eight sides will qualify directly for the round of 16. The teams finishing between ninth and 24th place will contest two-legged play-offs, while those finishing between 25th and 36th will be eliminated from the competition.
