Celebrating our 120th anniversary with a very special kit

On April 26th we celebrate our 120th anniversary and on the occasion of this birthday we are launching a kit inspired by the one we used in the first match of our history, blue and white and with the original club badge on the chest. Our team will wear this new kit this Wednesday in LaLiga game against Mallorca, just as the first Atleti players did in their historic debut.
Our colours, red and white, would arrive to our kit in 1911, date until which we used the blue and white that we will defend again this Wednesday.
Founded on 26 April 1903 as a branch of Athletic Club, our club was founded by a group of Basque students living in Madrid and members of the Biscayan team, who at that time also wore blue and white. Likewise, our first crest - valid until 1917 - was made up of a belt surrounding a football on which the initials of Athletic Club could be read intertwined.
