Atlético de Madrid entered the game eager to score the first goal. It was Carrasco who opened the score very early and after several chances to goal, Gameiro scored the second one halfway into the first half. A little later, Gaitán was injured, and had to be substituted, and immediately after that, Málaga scored. Gameiro was not ready to leave things as they were and scored the 3-1 just before the break.

After the interval, the game took a turn not expected by the Calderón. Savic was sent off after a rigorous second yellow card and, a little later, a former player of Atlético, Camacho, scored a goal for Málaga. With half an hour to go for the end, the Atléticos demonstrated that they also know how to play with 10 men. And, in the final stretch, Carrasco scored another great goal to close the game. Three golden points to think about the next Tuesday’s Champions match against Rostov.
