KING’S CUP, SEMI-FINALS (1ST LEG) | ATLÉTICO DE MADRID - FC BARCELONA

Big match at the Calderón against the current champion

The red and whites and claret and blue players will lead a new episode of this great classic of Spanish and world football, surrounded by a great atmosphere in the fiftieth anniversary of our stadium.

Atlético de Madrid, against a strong rival that can only bring to mind good memories in the recent red and white history, will try to book a spot tonight (21:00) for the big King’s Cup final, by playing in the semi-finals against the defending champion FC Barcelona.

A match that in the last seasons has been recurrent in the League, UEFA Champions League, Spanish Super Cup and King’s Cup and have given us memorable moments. The League we won at the Camp Nou in 2014 is after all unforgettable, as are the two European knockout rounds in which we beat Barcelona in 2014 and 2016.

After a thrilling 1-1 in the last League match, both teams come to the game after eliminating Guijuelo, Las Palmas and Eibar in our case and Hércules, Athletic Club and Real Sociedad in that of the Catalan team, which will not be able to count on the injured Iniesta, Busquets and Digne.
