Augusto went back to playing after recovering from his injury
The Argentinian central midfielder reappeared after his knee injury in the first game of the pre-season that we play in Mexico against Toluca FC.
On September 25th, 2016, Augusto Fernandez was injured against Deportivo de la Coruña in a match played at the Vicente Calderón. The news from the medical service of the club were not good, the Argentinian midfielder suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee and had to undergo surgery. After a few very hard months of rehabilitation and non-stop work, Augusto’s smile is back and he has recovered from the injury that kept him away from the pitch for ten months.
Before travelling to Mexico, Augusto, Vrsaljko and Juanfran Torres were given the all clear. Today, in our team’s first match of the pre-season against Toluca FC, Augusto Fernandez was a starter and enjoyed football again.
