Atlético fall in the final against Valencia
Atlético de Madrid fell in the final against a very accurate Valencia team. It was a good final which made it clear at the level of our homegrown team, that they rub their shoulders with the best.
The final started with a very fast pace, with Atlético de Madrid dominating and locking in on Valencia on their side. But, in the 8th minute, Ferrán Giner gave Valencia the lead on a counterattack.
Our team did not give up and Mario Soriano equalised the match with a spectacular with a shot near the right post in the 12th minute. However, in a new counterattack, Valencia took back the lead with a goal from Ferhat in the 16th minute.
In the second half, another goal from Valencia made it impossible to reach penalties, despite our team's attempts. The Valencia team played very secure and handled the Atlético attack. A good look for Atlético de Madrid who deserved more, rather than a lost against the Valencia team.
