Atletico don’t understand friendly and this was shown in the game against Mitra Kukar. Diego Pablo Simeone’s side took to field 1 of the Sports City and didn’t take long to start the scoring. After just minutes, first Arda Turan with great individual play on the wing, and Raul Garcia, who demonstrated his special connection with Adrian, got the first two goals of the game.
With a comfortable lead on the scoreboard, and no apparent reaction in the visiting team, Koke, Guilavogui and Óliver took control of the ball in midfield. Filipe and Manquillo as usual were joining the attacks from wideand the good team work was rewarded with a goal from Adrian after a good pass from Óliver after 18 minutes.
The Indonesian side didn’t really trouble Aranzubía in goal and more chances came for the home side, Raúl García with his head and Óliver Torres and Adrian with individual effort all came close in the first half but they went in at the break 3-0 in front.
Apart from Guilavogui and Aranzubia, Simeone changed the entire team after the break. Villa, who was celebrating his birthday today got the first of the second half with a shot that went just inside the post. Immediately afterwards Gabi shot from outside the area and Guilavogui came close after a corner.
Atletico Madrid continued to attack relentlessly on the goal defended by Agus, who saved a penalty from David Villa after 65 minutes.
