Atlético de Madrid, Ria Money Transfer extend sponsorship agreement until 2024

Atlético de Madrid and the world's leading money transfer company have renewed their partnership for another season. To celebrate, RIA is launching a spot featuring our players Lemar, Luis Suárez, Kondogbia and Herrera which represents, through Wizarchy's real story of overcoming adversity, some of the values that both entities share, such as tenacity, daily work and never giving up.

Ria Money Transfer will continue to sponsor Atlético de Madrid for one more season. The multinational company, world leader in money transfers, and our club have reached an agreement to extend for one more season the relationship that unites both parties since November 2019. The company's logo will continue to feature on the back of our men's and women's first team shirts until 2024.

To celebrate, Ria Money Transfer has released a spot with the prestigious agency Sra. Rushmore, filmed on Dec. 3, in which the values shared by both entities – such as daily work, pursuing your dreams, tenacity and never giving up – are reflected. It tells the true story of Archibardo Hernández, aka Wizarchy, who is the protagonist of the short film about his own life. Thanks to his persistence, humility and daily effort, he has managed to fulfil his dream of becoming a leading hairdresser after emigrating from the Dominican Republic to Spain. Starring WIzarchy himself, our players Thomas Lemar, Luis Suárez, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Héctor Herrera also participate in the spot.

Juan Bianchi, CEO of Euronet's Money Transfer segment, spoke about the agreement.

“Ria is forged on teamwork, passion, commitment and the improvement of people’s lives. We recognized all those attributes in Atlético de Madrid when we began this journey together and we’re delighted to be building on those shared values,” Bianchi said.

Atlético de Madrid’s CCO, Íñigo Aznar, also shared his thoughts on the agreement.

"We are very happy about the commitment that RIA shows us by extending the agreement for another season, in the current circumstances. They are a partner with a global presence that helps us in the club’s internationalisation process, and with whom we fully identify in values. Therefore, we are delighted to be able to work together in this long-term collaboration," Aznar said.
