Reinildo reaches 100 appearances in Red & White
The Mozambican international hit the century mark in our match against FC Barcelona.
Reinildo Mandava played his 100th match for Atlético de Madrid this Sunday against FC Barcelona. The Mozambican international defender, who made his debut for the club on 6 February 2022, coincidentally also against the Catalan side, has now accumulated 73 appearances in LaLiga, 17 in the Champions League, and 10 in the Copa del Rey.
Since arriving at the club, his outstanding defensive performances and charisma quickly earned him the affection of the fans, who eagerly awaited his return to the pitch after he suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee on 25 February 2023. After 301 days, on 23 December of that same year, Reinildo made his return, and just weeks later, he scored his first of two goals for Atlético against Rayo Vallecano.
